About the Savannah Gator Club® |
Membership in the Savannah Gator Club® |
|
The Savannah Area Gator Club® is officially organized through the University of Florida Alumni Association to help advance and promote the general welfare, interests, and excellence of the University of Florida as an educational institution. We're also here to help grow a spirit of loyalty, unity, and cooperation among its graduates, former students, and friends. Our goal is not only to meet these objectives, but to have a lot of fun while we're doing it!! Our club was founded in the summer of 1992, and has since grown its membership to well over 100 friends and alumni of UF. We're quite proud of our growth, which has led to us being able to fund THIRTEEN scholarships totaling $17,000 to date for deserving young Savannahians to attend the University of Florida. |
Membership in the Savannah Area Gator Club® is open to all alumni and friends of the University of Florida who want to advance the aims of the University and have a lot of fun getting together to do it. Membership in the Savannah Area Gator Club® is now contingent upon you being a member of the University of Florida Alumni Association. When you join UFAA, and you live in the Savannah/Coastal Empire area, you will automatically be made a member of our club, which is a chartered affiliate of the UFAA. Your membership card from UFAA will indeed state that you are a member of our club. For more information about the UFAA and how to join:
UFAA dues are $40 per year for a single membership, and $50 per year for a joint membership. The Savannah Area Gator Club® receives a percentage of this amount back from UFAA. Life Memberships are also available on their site |
